MPV-33 Single Channel Microphone Splitter
The alphaton single channel splitter MPV-33 Split one audiolevel into three way´s, plus one „Direct Output“, which is designed to feed the microphone with phantom voltage.
These handy and compact tools find many applications in sound reinforcement or recording situations. The case is made of strong diecastaluminium, allowing trouble- free operation ever under adverse conditions.
Principal application of alphaton audio splitters are in sound recording studios, in public address systems and broadcast and television studios and OB-applications.
MPV splitters offer optimum high voltage safety. They comply with VDE and IEC regulations and are recommended by European broadcasting companies. The transformer with separate faraday shields for each winding isolates and rejects the common-mode noise caused by the noise voltage difference between the cases of the multiple mixers. This eliminates the ground loops which would be caused by the mixer which terminates the microphone directly. All alphaton splitters feature an optional "Direct-Out" in addition to the isolated outputs to handle phantom power.
Heart of any alphaton audio splitter are high quality distribution transformers, that feature:
- low inertial loss
- very flat frequency response
- nominal level + 6 dBu, MIC-/LINE-levels
- isolation voltage primary/secondary 3KVeff
- excellent common-mode rejection
- efficient magnetic and faraday shields
